Bernecker Hollow Forms

Conference Presentation Overview:
Complex Hollow Form Construction

Stemming from a desire to work ‘outside the box’, Gwen Bernecker has developed a free form type of hollow form design that includes undulating surfaces. Learn how to incorporate this technique into your own designs. Almost any surface shape imaginable will work and your pieces can range from very small to very large. Create movement with wires and beads built into your hollow forms. Techniques presented will include determining the shape, creating the back, structural support, armatures, additions, refinement, and firing.
