John Hohenshelt

Conference Presenter – John Hohenshelt

I began working summers at Paragon Industries at 13 years old for my father. I performed almost every job in the production facility from operating machinery, welding, crating, to building kilns. Later I performed other tasks including drafting the engineering documentation for submission to Underwriters Laboratories. My formal education includes B.A. in Mathematical Economics, M.A. in Political Science, and Juris Doctor, all degrees earned at Tulane University in New Orleans. Upon graduation I spent four years as a Captain in the U.S. Army. In 1998 I returned to Paragon Industries and began work as the plant manager and spent a great deal of time and effort learning electrical engineering and product design. In 2001, I was named President of Paragon Industries to permit my father to build an airplane. I have been married to my lovely wife, Kellie, since 1992. We have been blessed with two beautiful children, Ashlyn and J.C. Hobbies include hunting, fishing, reading, running, listening to jazz, and playing with my children.
