Conference Presenter – Judi Weers Judi has been involved with some type of needlework or craft since a very young age. She majored in Fashion Design at Colorado State University, but fell in love with silversmithing after taking a class as part of her art requirements.
Silversmithing, as a career, was never to be, but she still kept the interest. When Art Clay Silver and PMC came along it seemed the best of both worlds–working with silver and manipulation of clay. Once she got her hands on the silver clay, she became totally immersed. Glass fusing has added color to the silver, and Judi continues to work with both media as well as polymer clay.
Judi has certifications with both brands of metal clay, but has decided to concentrate her efforts with Art Clay. She is a senior instructor with Art Clay World and teaches classes at her studio in San Antonio, TX as well as traveling to other areas to teach.
Her work has been published in a variety of magazines such as Polymer CAFÉ and Art Jewelry, and she recently wrote and self-published a book called "Tips and Techniques" for the Makin’s®
Professional® Ultimate Clay Extruder®.
