Conference Presenter – Maria Martinez
Maria is an artist who resides in southern California. A Master Instructor certified thru Art Clay World, USA and PMC certified thru Rio Rewards Program. In 1996 while attending metal–smithing classes, Maria was told of a new medium created in Japan, being introduced into the United States. Silver in a clay form, that could be molded, formed, shaped and when fired would transform into "Pure Silver". The seed had been planted and in 1998 received her 1st certification in metal clay.
Maria’s love of art has included studies in photography, fashion design, art history, fiber arts, mix–media art, metal–smithing, polymer, bead–work, and wire–work. Maria has won National and International awards and recognition for her unique jewelry designs. She creates and teaches workshops for National Shows across the United States.
